Itinerary
Collected from your accommodation by your Triple J Tours coach, travel 70kms across Durack country to Lake Argyle in comfort, enjoying the vast East Kimberley landscape. Stretch your legs near Lake Argyle when we stop at the new site of the original Durack family homestead, rebuilt stone by stone and now housing the historic Argyle Downs Homestead Museum.
After a short drive to the Ord Top Dam, be amazed by the views of Lake Argyle and the view back towards Kununurra. Board our boat for a scenic cruise 55kms back to Kununurra. The first 15km is an exhilarating ride through the narrowest section of the fast-flowing water. Along the way, another layer of the outback unfolds, its waterways, another kind of spectacular scenery in an eco-environment thriving with birds and wildlife, including freshwater crocodiles.

5Ord River Discoverer with Sunset (J3)
Great Tour. We saw so much and learnt so much from Chris our guide. We go to see so much wild life. A great way to spend an afternoon. The Boat was comfortable and afternoon tea was very delicious and plentiful - scones, muffins, fruit, cold drinks and even a hot tea or coffee. Great photo opportunities
5A Must Do
Cannot speak highly enough of my whole experience in Kununurra and all it has to offer - the Ord River Cruise (Sunset) amazing, flight into the Bungle bungles, Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm took our breath away - not to mention the mini Bungles walking distance from Kununurra township is also a must do - sunset dinner at the Pumphouse on the Ord River superb but book for an early meal so you can watch the sunset … All in all a stunning experience

About Kununurra
Kununurra is a young town in Western Australia's East Kimberley, beside the Ord River and Lake Argyle, with red ranges, boab trees and irrigated farmland.
Kununurra lies in the far north-east of Western Australia, close to the Northern Territory border, on the Ord River. It was founded in the 1960s to serve the Ord River irrigation scheme, which turned dry plains into fields of sugar cane, melons, mangoes and other crops. Red sandstone ranges, boab trees and wide skies surround the town.
