Itinerary

  1. Arguably Macau’s most famous landmark, the Ruins of St. Paul’s continue to captivate visitors centuries after it was originally constructed. Today, most tourists who visit the ruins probably only see the remains of a beautiful old church, but there’s more to its story. In fact, the ruins serve as a key reminder of Macau’s unique roots.

    30 min

  2. Senado Square (Largo do Senado) is a public square in Macau. It is located in the central area of the Macau Peninsula. In 2005 it was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List as it forms part of the Historic Centre of Macau.

    30 min

  3. Guia Fortress is one of Macau’s most iconic historical landmarks, combining a 17th-century fortress, chapel, and the oldest modern lighthouse on the Chinese coast. Perched on Guia Hill, it offers panoramic views of the city while showcasing Macau’s unique blend of Eastern and Western heritage.

    30 min

  4. The A-Ma Temple is a temple to the Chinese sea-goddess Mazu located in São Lourenço, Macau, China. Built in 1488, the temple is one of the oldest in Macau and thought to be the settlement's namesake.

    30 min

  5. Macau Tower is located in Macau, a Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. Macau was a Portuguese colony until 1999. Construction on the tower started in 1998, after a visit by Macau businessman Dr. Stanley Ho Hung-Sun to the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand. He was so impressed with the Sky Tower, he decided he’d like to build one like it in Macau!

    1 h

  6. Taipa Village in Macau is a historic area on Taipa Island with colonial-style streets, local shops, and street food, offering a mix of Portuguese and Chinese culture in a traditional village setting.

    45 min

  7. The Cotai Strip is Macau’s premier entertainment and resort district, famous for its luxury hotels, world-class casinos, shopping malls, and spectacular shows. It is a vibrant destination that showcases the city's modern and glamorous side.

    45 min

  8. The Venetian Macao is an incredible, immersive hotel experience. 350 world-class shopping choices line a masterfully reconstructed Grand Canal, bridges spanning each bank, just as they do in Venice. An incredible array of dining options, from the food court to the Michelin-starred Golden Peacock to room service, bring guests the best of global cuisines no matter their appetite.

About Macau

Macau, a former Portuguese territory on China's southern coast, joins a World Heritage old centre and Cantonese food to a skyline of casino resorts.

The Historic Centre of Macau, a World Heritage Site, spreads around Senado Square, paved in a black-and-white wave pattern with pastel colonial buildings beside it. Up the steps beyond, the carved granite façade of St Paul's, all that remains of a 17th-century church, stands against the sky. Temples such as A-Ma, on the hillside by the harbour, show the older Chinese side of the city, and Portuguese-built forts guard the hills.

Top-ranked sights in Macau: Ruins of St. Paul, Macau Tower, A-Ma Temple (Ma Kok Miu).
