The whole Tiger Leaping Gorge is divided into three parts: the upper section, middle section, and lower section. Today's Ljiang to Tiger Leaping Gorge half day tour leads you to have a 1.5~2 hours' exploration of the upper part, located at the mouth of the Jinsha River. Itinerary
Our driver and guide will sign your name and meet you at the Lijiang train station arrival exit and your train need arrival before 14:00pm then transfer to Tiger Leaping Gorge and need 2hrs driving, 80KM.
When our guide purchased the entrance ticket then our driver will bring us to the gorge. We will set out for our hiking tour to the upper part of the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Take a 15~20 minute walk along the plank road to the viewing platform on the valley floor. Strong currents of Jinsha River roar through the narrow valley, with waves slapping against the rocks. Please have your camera ready to capture this spectacular view. At the narrowest point, you will see a giant rock of 13 meters (43 feet) high seated in the middle of the river, abruptly cutting the torrents into two branches. Meanwhile, the surging waves crash against the rock with a tremendous roar. A special viewing platform was built there for visitors to fully appreciate this impressive scenery and take pictures. You will have 1.5~2 hours taking in the great scenery of the gorge. After that, reverse the trip back to the parking lot in our guide's company.
Afterwards, take the private car back to your hotel at Lijiang/Shuhe. End our services.

About Lijiang
Lijiang is a Naxi town in north-west Yunnan, known for its canal-threaded old town and the snow peaks of Jade Dragon Mountain behind it.
The old town of Lijiang, a World Heritage Site, is a maze of cobbled lanes, stone bridges and clear canals, lined with tile-roofed wooden houses built by the Naxi people. Sifang Street is its busy square, the Mu family mansion recalls the Naxi chieftains who once ruled here, and the Black Dragon Pool park frames Jade Dragon Mountain in its still water. The Naxi Dongba script, a pictographic writing used by priests, appears on signs and souvenirs.
