5Salmon Queen
THE BEST SALMON OF MY LIFE. That glaze? Unreal. I'm going to be dreaming about this salmon bake all the way back to Texas. 10/10!
1Terrible & overpriced
The experience was poor. The food was bland, especially the SALMON! Dessert was dry sheet cake. Food on our cruise ship was better and we wish we had skipped the expensive, overpriced salmon bake and boarded the ship prior to dinner instead. Would not recommend.
1Food was subpar and no redeeming value for the Salmon Bake.
Don’t do it. The food wasn’t fresh except for the salmon which was fine, not amazing. ALL of the sides had been sitting in the buffet for awhile. The cheese on the au gratin potatoes was hard and cold, The dessert was dry. The cornbread was dry. Only water and lemonade included for drinks. It’s a rip off for $75-80. Get the salmon bake on the ship and it will save you time, money and taste better.
4Salmon Bake
Our tour guide was late so another driver came to take us on tour. The salmon, clam chowder, baked beans and ribs were very good. But some of the salmon had bones. Everything else was just ok, nothing outstanding. The gold panning was disappointing- difficult and hard to get (tiny flecks of gold). The atmosphere was nice and there was a nice waterfall nearby.
4Mediocre Salmon Bake
The salmon was delicious and we enjoyed watching it being masterfully grilled. The buffet of side dishes was mediocre. I'm not sure that it was worth the price. We did enjoy the waterfalls at the back of the property.
3Salmon Bake
Rather disappointed. I felt the description of this trip pointed to something much more intimate. The salmon was nothing special and the small buffet was rather uninviting. Self service. which was fine. An expensive touristy trip. I would have rather spent my money elsewhere. We were dropped off by the shuttle bus. The bus driver gave us a little guided talk on the way over. We found our own way to the outdoor covered seats. It was rather chilly in the late afternoon, although they did have some heaters on close to some tables. Very few people eating and a lack of atmosphere. The servers were welcoming. The singer, guitarist was rather lovely. There was a short walk to a waterfall and old mining equipment.

About Juneau
Juneau is Alaska's capital, a small harbour city beneath steep forested mountains, reachable only by air or sea and close to glaciers.
Juneau sits on the Gastineau Channel in the Alaska Panhandle, squeezed between the water and the steep slopes of Mount Juneau and Mount Roberts, with the Juneau Icefield behind. No road connects it to the rest of North America. The city grew after gold was found in 1880, and the Alaska State Capitol, a columned building of the 1930s, the octagonal Russian Orthodox church of St Nicholas and the old downtown streets recall that past.
