Itinerary
Meet in downtown Oaxaca. Then, once we are geared up with helmets and our quality bikes, we'll begin our journey to Santo Domingo Tomaltepec (16 km or 10 miles one way)
Half way to the lake, we'll make a quick restroom stop/water break before we continue
We'll reach the cute little square in Santo Domingo Tomaltepec village and make a quick stop by the local church before we continue on the cross country trail
After 90 min. from the starting point and some uphills along the trail, we'll reach the lake
We'll get off the bikes and spend some time by the lake taking in the views and walking around the natural area.
We'll get on the bikes again and start our way down to the valley. It's mainly down hill from here
We'll reach Santa Maria del Tule and go straight to the food market to eat a well-earned lunch. Note that food/drinks are NOT included.
After lunch, we'll go see the massive Tule tree and you'll learn facts and history about it. We'll have time to walk around the square and gardens before getting on the bikes again. Admission fee is included.
