Guilin is a world famous city with numerous limestone hills and caves. According to geologists, Guilin was originally on the ocean floor about 300 million years ago. About 200 million years ago, a lot of limestone deposits were located on the bed of the ocean. Due to the movement of the earth’s crust, the seabed rose and became dry land. With the erosion caused by rainwater and underground water, all the limestone hills, caves and rivers were formed as the karst formation during this period of time in Guilin. When visiting Guilin, the numerous fantastic caves are a great highlight that one should not miss. Among all the caves, the best ones to visit are the Reed Flute Cave, Crown Cave.

Itinerary
At 9am, our tour guide and driver will meet you at the Guilin or Yangshuo hotel then transfer to the Reed flute cave, from Guilin hotel need 30 mins driving, 7km. But if pick up from Yangshuo hotel then need 1.5hrs driving, 60KM. The Reed Flute Cave is reputed as " the art palace of the nature"where you can see beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone flowers with various shape, all glistening in colorfull lights.
After visit the Reed flute cave, then we head to Guilin Crown Cave and need one hour driving. The Crown cave is a magnificent karst cave in Caoping Hui Nationality village about 29 km from Guilin. It is a part of Crown Mountain. The Crown Cave scenic area covers an area about 4000 hectares. Integrating natural scenes, meeting and holiday facilities, accommodation and dining service into one, the Crown Cave is reputed as “Li River Pearl”. Crown cave also has gained an entry into the Guinness book of records due to the numerous ways of exploration. The cave is equipped with modern sightseeing facilities such as railroad, sightseeing elevator, sampans, sightseeing roller coasters, automatic light and sound control guide. With the several exploration methods on offer you will actually be spoilt for choice. After those caves visit, we will drop off you at Guilin or Yangshuo hotel.

About Guilin
Guilin, in Guangxi, is a river town among steep limestone peaks, best known for the Li River and the karst hills of classical Chinese painting.
Guilin lies in the north-east of the Guangxi region, where limestone peaks rise as steep green towers from flat fields and the Li River. The name means forest of sweet osmanthus, and the trees line its streets. In the city, Elephant Trunk Hill stands at the river's edge shaped like an elephant drinking, Reed Flute Cave glows with coloured light on its stalactites, and the Sun and Moon pagodas rise from a lake.
