Itinerary
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Tarapoto around 8:30 a.m. and head towards the charming village of Sauce, home to the famous Blue Lagoon. Along the way, we’ll cross the Huallaga River on a traditional raft and stop at “La Punta del Gallinazo” viewpoint for breathtaking views of the green valley. Once in Sauce, we’ll board a boat for a one-hour ride across the lagoon. Our stop at a lakeside retreat offers the chance to swim, take a short horseback ride, or try optional activities such as kayaking, canopy, or jet skiing. Lunch will be served by the lagoon, featuring a variety of delicious Amazonian dishes. By 4:00 p.m. we’ll begin our return, arriving at your hotel in Tarapoto around 6:00 p.m.

About Tarapoto
Tarapoto is a busy city of Peru's upper Amazon in the San Martín region, known as the City of Palms, with waterfalls, lakes, coffee and chocolate.
Tarapoto lies in the foothills where the Andes descend to the Amazon basin, in the San Martín region of northern Peru, at roughly 350 metres above sea level. Its warm climate, green hills and palm-lined streets earned it the name Ciudad de las Palmeras. The city is the main centre of a region of coffee, cacao and tropical fruit farms, and Moyobamba, the regional capital, lies a couple of hours to the north-west by road.
