- Denali (Mt. McKinley) is 80 miles away from our airstrip. Weather conditions at the Mountain will often be different from those in our area. Please feel free to call for the current pilot’s reports but know that we do not make decisions based on weather until about an hour before flight time. We will always send a driver to pick-up locations with the most up-to date information at the allotted pick-up times. Exact route and specific sights are weather dependent but due to our airstrip's unique location, we are able to access either side of the Alaska Range when others cannot. About Denali National Park
Denali National Park is six million acres of tundra, spruce forest and glaciers in interior Alaska, centred on the highest mountain in North America.
Denali National Park and Preserve covers about six million acres of interior Alaska, a landscape of braided rivers, tundra, spruce forest and glaciers spread across the Alaska Range. The mountain itself, 6,190 metres high, is the highest in North America. It often hides in cloud, so a clear view of the summit is a matter of luck.
