5Incredible First Glacier Climbing Experience with an Outstanding Guide!
We had an incredible experience with Andean Raju Expeditions! This was our first time glacier walking and climbing roped together, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making us feel safe and confident throughout the entire experience. He did an excellent job pacing the climb to our abilities, and everything felt seamless from start to finish. He also went above and beyond by letting us borrow gear we hadn’t brought, including mountaineering boots, thermal pants, gloves, crampons, ice axes, and helmets. He picked us up and dropped us off, making the entire experience incredibly convenient. Beyond being a fantastic guide, he was genuinely enjoyable to talk with and made the day even more memorable. We couldn’t recommend Andean Raju Expeditions more highly, especially for anyone looking to experience mountaineering or glacier climbing for the first time. An absolutely fantastic experience!
5Great experience with great mountain guide
Pablo is an English speaking mountain guide. We had the privilege to do a private tour with him and were in good hands. Great experience. Would definitely do it again with Pablo.
5Amazing, beautiful and very safe trip to summit Nevada mateo!
We had an amazing trip to summit Nevada with Pablo and Javier with Andean Raju expeditions. They are extremely experienced and knowledgeable in the mountains and we felt in very safe hands. They were helpful, kind and really good fun and we had a brilliant day!
5Great Challenge
It was certainly a challenge but very rewarding to complete this experience. It was unfortunately not a clear day and this made it a little more challenging for a first timer of a snow climb, but the guides were great and it was well worth it.
5Outstanding experience!
Really good experience, the guides were very professional, they have very high-quality equipment, and the energy of the group was really good. Everybody was able to reach the top :)
5Worth the experience
Pablo was amazing and let us use good shoes to go up the mountain. You must be in good physical condition to do this tour and take a few days to get used to the altitude. Pablo does his absolute best for you to reach your best potential in climbing this mountain. I have never done this before , for me it was amazing that I almost made it to the top and he helped me a lot, it was just me. I’m still proud of myself for achieving this and you will too. Pablo makes sure you are safe and prepared and he has a lot of knowledge of Huaraz. Amazing views , something spectacular that I can look back on and be proud of. I will come again one day , stay in Huaraz longer to get used to altitude and try this tour again with only Pablo which runs this tour. He is amazing and he takes care of you every step of the way.

About Huaraz
Huaraz, in Peru's Ancash region, is a high mountain town beneath the snow peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, the base for trekking and climbing.
Huaraz lies at about 3,000 metres in the Callejón de Huaylas valley, between the glaciated Cordillera Blanca to the east and the drier Cordillera Negra to the west. The town was rebuilt after the 1970 earthquake, so it is modern and low-rise; its setting is the draw, with Huascarán, Peru's highest mountain at 6,768 metres, standing nearby.
Top-ranked sights in Huaraz: Llanganuco Lakes (Lagunas Llanganuco), Mt. Alpamayo, Pastoruri Glacier.
