Highlights

Cenote Dreamgate is the undisputed gem of the Riviera Maya’s cavern areas. It stands out with its unique features and unparalleled beauty. Cenote Dreamgate is part of the connected system Sac Actun-Nohoch-Dos Ojos. It is the world’s second-largest underwater cave system, with 376,7 km (234 miles) of underwater lines. 2 dives in one day. Both upstream and downstream cavern zone areas allow a double underground experience. To dive the best main passage upstream, follow the cavern line on the left side and jump from the cavern tour line at the directional line arrow about 200 ft (60 m). The downstream area you reach by swimming to the right of the platform facing west. Force yourself to turn right or eastward, and you will find the Gold Cavern tour line. The main line is the best dive.

About Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen is a relaxed Riviera Maya beach town with a buzzing pedestrian avenue, white sand, and cenotes, reefs and ruins close by.

Quinta Avenida, the town's long pedestrian street, runs parallel to the beach and is lined with shops, cafés, restaurants and bars that stay busy late. The beaches are wide and white, with Punta Esmeralda a local favourite for its shallow lagoon, and the water is warm and clear for much of the year.

Top-ranked sights in Playa del Carmen: Rio Secreto Nature Reserve, Fifth Avenue (Quinta Avenida), Cirque du Soleil Joya.
