1. Meet your local professional guide at your hotel lobby at 8:30, 13:00 or 18:30 ( Or your preferred departure time ). Since this is a fully private customized tour based on your own interests, please choose 3 top attractions that you want to visit the most, or feel free to discuss your preference with your guide upon meeting. Typically, you will visit The Bund first, to see the amazing skyscrapers along the Huangpu River.

2. If you like, you can choose to visit the most famous classic Yu Garden. Your guide will share with you the Chinese garden art, and give you an overview of high official's garden life in the history.

3. You can also choose to visit one of the most famous Buddhist temple "Jade Buddha Temple". Your guide will not only point out all the details but explain you the history of Buddhism and wisdom of Buddhism philosophy.

4. Another good choice is to visit Former French Concession, where is full of trendy bars and clubs. The area still holds something of the alluring mix of scrappy Shanghainese street life and shopworn European colonial charm. Your guide will show you the most interesting area in the Former French Concession according to your preference.

5. Your final stop can be at Shanghai Tower, you can take the fastest elevator ( 18m/s ) in the world to 119F to have a wonderful view of Shanghai. Your guide will point out all the important places and explain you all the stories behind it.   We had an amazing time with our tour guide Summer. We learned so much about Shanghai. We really learned a lot and enjoyed our time in the Yu Garden and Jade Temple. We also really enjoyed the views of the Bund. Our guide, Summer, was so sweet and considerate. She shared a lot of interesting facts and answered our questions. She really made the experience so memorable and enjoyable. We were so thankful that she was our guide and helped introduce us to the beautiful city of Shanghai!

  This was a great experience, my guide Penny was excellent, very knowledgeable and nice, and when Shanghai tower wasn’t viable due to weather she knew somewhere else to go to still get a view. She even helped me book a lift back to the airport! Would absolutely recommend.

• 5Amazing educational 4-hour private tour!

  I had a fantastic private car tour experience in Shanghai with Shanghai Melody Tours, thanks to my exceptional guide, Sophie. Her insights into the city and her knowledge of its neighborhoods made the tour both educational and enjoyable. For example, I initially planned to visit the Shanghai Museum in People’s Square, but Sophie recommended the newer Shanghai Museum in Pudong, which offered more exhibits and became one of the highlights of my trip. Additionally, she recommended restaurants near my hotel at which I had some of the best traditional meals I enjoyed during my stay China. Sophie’s planning skills were also impressive, as she secured tickets in advance for Shanghai Tower while we were touring the museum, making the visit seamless and efficient. Although we started the tour a bit late, Sophie ensured I received my full tour time and even extended our time a little. She helped me capture wonderful memories by taking lots of photos during the tour. After the tour, she was happy to drop me off wherever I needed, adding to the convenience. Overall, Sophie’s expertise and enthusiasm made exploring Shanghai a delight. I highly recommend Shanghai Melody Tours for anyone looking to discover Shanghai!
