Experience the best of Redondo Beach

Redondo Beach lies on Santa Monica Bay in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. The Redondo Beach Pier and King Harbor, with fishing boats and yachts, anchor the waterfront, and Seaside Lagoon is a sheltered saltwater swimming area. A beachfront path for walking, cycling and skating runs north through Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, and Riviera Village has shops and cafés a short way inland.

To the south, the Palos Verdes Peninsula has sea cliffs, tide pools and the glass Wayfarers Chapel, and San Pedro, with its harbour, is about 20 km away. Venice, Santa Monica and Marina del Rey lie north along the coast. Grey whales pass offshore between December and April, and dolphins can be seen all year from boats.

Seafood restaurants on the harbour serve fish tacos, clam chowder and fresh catch, and weekly farmers' markets sell local fruit and vegetables. Mornings are often cloudy in May and June, the warmest and clearest weather comes from late summer to October, and winters are mild with occasional rain.
