5A great guide and a great experience.
Francesco was great! A real history nerd, with lots of knowledge and a great sense of humor. Meetup was easy and we had a wonderful experience.
5Great tour, fun guide
This tour is a must do if you're going to visit the Arena, our guide Franco was so knowledgeable, he referred to himself as a geek but in fact was super fun and interesting, we learned way more than we would have otherwise, good value for money, definitely recommended!
5Impressive Arena and tour
Our guide (Maria?) was great and enthusiastic about the history and construction of the arena. It was fun to hear the stories of the gladiators and rulers throughout the arena's past. Also great to clamber up the many rows of seating to view the town from the balcony and hear the impressive acoustics of the structure. Beautiful Veronese hospitality and impressive site.
5I highly recommend this...
This experience was well worth it. Skipping the line saved having to wait in a long line to get into the arena. Additionally, our tour guide was exceptional. The tour started outside the arena with our guide providing interesting historical facts about the arena and city. She continued once we entered the arena with additional history and explanations. Great tour that I highly recommend!
5Verona Arena
There was no end time you could spend as much time in the arena. Didn’t have to climb step if you chose not too! Our tour guide was great!! She was fun and answered all our questions!
5A working coliseum!
This short but informative tour was really great! Our guide was engaging and provided some great information about the history of the coliseum, construction, and how it is used today.

About Verona
Verona, in Veneto, is a Roman and medieval city on a loop of the Adige, with a vast arena, Juliet's balcony and Lake Garda close by.
The Adige curves around Verona's old centre, and the city's Roman past is plain to see in the Arena, an amphitheatre of the first century that still stages open-air opera in summer. Piazza delle Erbe, the market square on the old Roman forum, is lined with frescoed houses and has a column topped by the lion of Venice, and the Torre dei Lamberti beside it can be climbed. The historic city is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
