  • 5I have painted Antelope...

I have painted Antelope Canyon from photographs many times so seeing it in person was a special treat. Incredible rock formations and colors. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spent time answering specific questions. Only suggestion I would have is to space the tours groups as there was often a bottleneck and took away from the magic of the place.

Really wonderful. Listen to your tour guide, they are very knowledgable about the history and how to take great photos.

  • 5Great experience

Great experience. The tour guides are very helpful and will even take pictures for you—don’t forget to tip them for their generosity. Caution for anyone with mobility issues, cardiac issues, pregnant women…it is HOT and lots of stairs

  • 1Avoid Adventurous for Upper Antelope Canyon

Our tour of the Upper Canyon was a disaster from the start, with us being omitted when they were assigning guides, to being added to the last guide, who introduced himself by threatening to remove you from the tour if you didn't do exactly as directed. Compared to the other guides, he was absolutely rude and totally unhelpful. He ruined the experience for everyone in our group. I'm not saying to not go see Upper Anyelope Canyon. I'm say I would never recommend Adventurous as your guide service.

  • 5Wonderful lady tour...

Wonderful lady tour guide. Beautiful sandstone. Our tour guide adjusted our cameras to get the best pics. She also pointed out special photo ops like the angel and dragon. She was very knowledgeable and happy to help with pics.

  • 5Great experience

This tour is a great viewing experience. I did the upper canyon tour. The positives were the tour guide I had, which might be hit and miss if your group is allocated a poor fit. The actual walking isn't that far, about an hour very slow walking. The actual site is a 15 minute drive from the meeting point. Be prepared, some of the transfer ride is quite rough tire-rutted sand. The real downside with all these tours is the meeting point is as remote as the canyons and they are all poorly sign posted. Visitors have to rely on sat nav to find the right one. The pricing seems rather high, even though it appears the company operates on thin margins.

About Page

Page, in northern Arizona, is a small town on Lake Powell, the base for Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and the red cliffs of the Colorado Plateau.

Page sits on a sandstone mesa above the Colorado River in northern Arizona, close to the Utah border. It was founded in 1957 as a camp for the builders of Glen Canyon Dam, whose concrete arch holds back Lake Powell, a long reservoir of blue water winding through red canyons. The lake and its branching side canyons are used for boating and houseboats, and the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area protects the shoreline.

Top-ranked sights in Page: Antelope Canyon, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.
