  • 2Waste of time

Even with military discount… not worth the time… took us an hour waiting online to finally go up. Booked for noon, not in the tower until 1305. Everywhere says you can get in line prior to booking. They would not let us…. The view was great… but not worth an hour waiting online, let alone also paying for it.

  • 5Obligatory stop for out-of-towners

It’s the Space Needle. It’s what the Empire State Building is to NYC, what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris, the Colosseum is to Rome, and the Arch is to St. Louis. It’s an obligatory stop for out-of-towners visiting Seattle. It was interesting to read the history of its construction as you work your way up the ramp towards the elevators. On a clear day you can see for miles and it provides breathtaking views of the city and Elliott Bay as it slowly rotates. If you’re brave, step out onto the clear glass to look 500 feet beneath you. I particularly enjoyed the massive Lego replica of the Space Needle down in the gift shop.

  • 5One of the few jams in Seattle

Interesting tour on space needle. Was built in sixties last century. Beautiful views on Seattle (we caught a sunny day) We learned a lot about the construction and the process. Avoid buying anything on the top - astronomical prices. The Chihuli museum is stunning. Go slowly among the beautiful exhibits and stay at the end to watch the short movies which explain the artists activities

  • 5The Chihuly Glass and...

The Chihuly Glass and Gardens were beautiful! So glad we purchased the bundle which also included the Space Needle. Exchanging our Viator voucher for the combo tickets was very easy. The monorail was close by, so after our time at the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens, we took the monorail to downtown which was a short walk from Pikes Market. Great day!

  • 5Don’t miss Space Needle in Seattle!

We loved the area with the Space Needle, Chihuly glass garden & museum & IMAX all near each other. Being up there & having a 360o view of Seattle was spectacular. We liked the rotating top, although it was a bit slower than I’d expected.. we could hardly feel it moving. People w/ agoraphobia wouldn’t feel it moving, but looking down on the glass floor could cause them to panic a bit!
