Itinerary
Your day begins with pickup from your Port Douglas hotel. The fastest ride out to the reef from Port Douglas, the ultra modern 29 meter catamaran will be your base for the day. Throughout the day you'll visit three locations on Agincourt Reef, each showcasing a different aspect of the beautiful Great Barrier Reef. The cruise has exclusive access to 22 premier internationally recognised reef sites and you have the choice to snorkel, dive or a combination of both. The friendly crew will be happy to answer any questions you have throughout the day. The boat features full bar facilities, fresh water showers and expansive sundecks overlooking the Coral Sea. A tropical buffet lunch will be served between sites, along with morning and afternoon tea.
Agincourt Reef sits at the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef, a ribbon reef running parallel to the Continental Shelf. There is a multitude of marine life at Agincourt Reef, from tiny iridescent fish seeking shelter in their coral homes to massive giant clams weighing up to 200 kilograms (440 pounds).
If you have never tried scuba diving you can choose to do one or two introductory dives, or you may prefer to stick to snorkeling and explore all three sites from the surface. A crew member will take those interested on a guided snorkel tour at one of the reef locations. Certified divers can choose to partake in up to three certified dives. Whatever you choose, your Outer Great Barrier Reef Dive and Snorkel Cruise includes up to five hours in the water. We recommend you book this reef trip on your first full available day. You then have the opportunity to be flexible and change your travel date if you wish. Your booking can be changed at no additional cost directly with the operator once you are in Cairns. 5So much fun and had no idea I would love it so much
1st time scuba. Had no idea how good it would be. 2nd dive was snorkel - scuba was so much better especially in choppy water. The divemaster was awesome making everyone feel comfortable and of course safe. Had no idea how good this was until later in my trip, tried to do a similar experience elsewhere that never compared to this one.
41st time diving on Great Barrier Reef
I think this trip was a bit expensive but the reef we dived on was over an hour away (take your sea sickness tabs) hot drinks can only be served when boat is stationary so grab one as soon as you get on board. Safety brief and dive guides were great, as was the lunch. Eat as much as you can as any left overs will be binned. Diving was ok but a lit of it was above 12m. All crew are very friendly and helpfull. Gets a bit crowded on aftdeck with all the snorkellers but they try to stagger them with the divers. GBR was a bucket list tick, but i still think the red sea is better. They take lots of photos but a $36 aus each I thought they were a bit expensive. Long trip 7:30 check in returned about 16:30
3For more experienced swimmers
If winds are over 10 knots it’s hard to swim on the reef. At least it was for me, an average swimmer. Didn’t get to see much of reef due to high waves and fear of being swept out. Crew was competent. Make sure to ask for help when you need it. Stick to tour with pontoon stop unless you are a very good swimmer.
5Incredible day on the reef
This was just the best day- really well organised from start to finish professional and felt really safe. I was snorkelling and absolutely loved it, the marine knowledge of the young guide was very good- you need to pay her more 😉 There were so many fish and coral, even saw a reef shark, the Maori Ressa was an interesting fish. Food was great, and the Silversonic got us there really quick and smooth. Would definitely recommend
5We went out on a calm day...
We went out on a calm day which made it great for snorkelling. Try & aim for a sunny day & winds under 10 knots for a great day out at sea.
5Reef roaming
Three different reef stops. Crew very helpful and informative. It was a bit choppy on the water, but the visibility is very good. Great lunch options. Both divers and snorkellers on board, but well organised.

Four Mile Beach curves away to the north fringed with palms, Macrossan Street holds the cafés and restaurants, and Flagstaff Hill gives a view over the beach and the mountains behind. A small white chapel, St Mary's by the Sea, stands beside the park at the water's edge.
