Itinerary

  1. OTR stands for Over the Rhine, one of the largest, most intact urban historic districts in the United States. It was named for German immigrants that settled here in the 1800’s. And their spirits have stuck around to haunt the OTR long after they have gone.

  2. For years Washington Park was primarily used as a mass burial ground of the local churches, filling it with the bodies of the poor. That all changed in 1858 when the city acquired the park. And today it's haunted by a few spirits, one of the most famous being the witch of Washington park.

    5 min

  3. This ghostly bar was constructed in tunnels underground built in the mid 1800's. Today it's a spooky spot that has many ghosts lurking around its walls.

    Passes by

  4. In the 1980’s after the building was abandoned the church changed hands multiple times and at one time it was a drug store. But no one seemed to want to stick around. When the current owners bought the building, they reportedly had a priest come in to bless it in hopes of clearing any lingering spirits that may have driven the prior tenants away. But it didn’t seem to work. Over the years guests have seen other worldly presences walk its halls.

  5. This spooky hotel has been a residence, a hotel and even a brothel. And it's dark past harbors some spooky ghosts. It's not only a great place to get a bite to eat, if you decide to stay, you might just see the terrifying Lady in Red!

    5 min

  6. In 1876, when Music Hall was under construction people stood around and watched as “boxes were filled with skeletal remains.”The bones just kept coming and the ghosts of it's past have decided to stick around.

About Cincinnati

Cincinnati is a hilly Ohio River city of German heritage, with a grand railway terminal, brick neighbourhoods, chili over spaghetti and old baseball.

Cincinnati rises from the north bank of the Ohio River, built across hills, with Kentucky just over the water. The Roebling Suspension Bridge of 1866, a forerunner of the Brooklyn Bridge, links the two states. The Cincinnati Museum Center, in the Art Deco Union Terminal with its enormous half-dome rotunda, holds museums of history and natural history, and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center tells of the people who fled slavery across the river.

Top-ranked sights in Cincinnati: John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Great American Ball Park.
