Itinerary
Built in 1878, this is the oldest remaining clock tower in Japan and a symbol of Sapporo’s early development. Originally a drill hall for the Sapporo Agricultural College, it continues to chime every hour, preserving the city's frontier history.
A vast green oasis stretching 1.5 km through the heart of the city. It serves as a central stage for seasonal events like the Lilac Festival and Snow Festival. You can enjoy the contrast between modern skyscrapers and beautiful flower beds.
Nestled in a lush forest, this is Hokkaido's most prestigious Shinto shrine. It enshrines four deities, including the soul of Emperor Meiji. It is a powerful spiritual spot where visitors can experience traditional Japanese rituals and seasonal nature.
Housed in a historic red-brick building, this is the only beer museum in Japan. Learn about the birth of the Japanese beer industry and the passion of the early pioneers. The iconic architecture is a popular spot for photography.
Ride the ropeway and unique "Moris-car" to reach the summit for a 360-degree panoramic view of Sapporo and the Ishikari Plain. It is designated as one of Japan’s "New Three Major Night Views," but the daytime scenery is equally breathtaking.

About Sapporo
Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido, is a grid-planned city of wide parks, an annual snow festival, miso ramen and mountains close behind.
Sapporo was laid out as a grid in the 1870s, when Japan's government developed the northern island, so its streets are wide and straight, split by Odori Park, a long green strip through the middle. The red-brick former Hokkaido government building and the white clock tower, both from the Meiji period, recall that era, and the Hokkaido Shrine lies in a wooded park in the west.
Top-ranked sights in Sapporo: Odori Park (Odori Koen), Susukino, Sapporo TV Tower.
