They get to essentially race other teams in other cities, even if they don’t have competitors who have signed up in their city that day. Rockaway Beach is a small beach town on Oregon's north coast, with a long straight beach, twin sea stacks and dairy country close by.

Rockaway Beach lies on Oregon's north coast in Tillamook County, where a long, straight beach of fine sand stretches for many kilometres along the Pacific. The beach is backed by low dunes, a main street of small shops and a little lake, Lake Lytle, in town, and Twin Rocks, a pair of sea stacks one of which is pierced by an arch, rises offshore just south of town.
