Itinerary

  1. Leave Adelaide behind and travel through the scenic Adelaide Hills as we make our way into the Barossa Valley. With a maximum of 20 guests, the day is designed to feel personal from the outset, with time to enjoy each experience rather than rushing from one cellar door to the next.

    50 min

  2. Our first experience is at Kies Family Wines, a sixth-generation Barossa family winery in Lyndoch. Here, we step beyond the usual cellar door and into the private barrel room for a structured tasting. Kies produces its wines from its own estate-grown fruit, making this a great introduction to both the family and the winemaking traditions of the Barossa.

    45 minAdmission included

  3. From Kies, we continue to Chateau Tanunda, one of the Barossa’s great historic landmarks. Established in 1890, its impressive bluestone winery has been at the heart of Barossa winemaking for more than 135 years. Enjoy a self-guided experience through the estate followed by a structured tasting, bringing together the history, architecture and wines of this remarkable property.

    45 minAdmission included

  4. For lunch, we head to Melba’s in Angaston for a relaxed regional platter showcasing local produce, accompanied by your choice of a glass of Yalumba wine or soft drink. There’s plenty of time to enjoy the food, conversation and surroundings, making lunch a genuine part of the experience rather than simply a stop along the way.

    45 minAdmission included

  5. Before we leave Melba's, enjoy an exclusive private Yalumba port and chocolate tasting, bringing together Yalumba fortified wine and locally made Melba’s chocolate. It’s a special addition to the day and a chance to enjoy two well-known South Australian names in a completely different way.

    15 minAdmission included

  6. From Angaston, we continue through the Barossa to Rosenvale Vineyards. This three-generation family winery is passionate about producing wines from its own vineyards, and you’ll have the chance to taste a selection while hearing more about the family and their connection to the land.

    45 minAdmission included

  7. Our journey through the Barossa finishes along iconic Seppeltsfield Road. Sit back and enjoy the palm-lined scenery while your knowledgeable local guide shares the stories behind the road, its historic estates and the people who helped shape this part of the Barossa.

    20 min

  8. Taste the Barossa is designed for guests looking for a more personal wine experience, with private and structured tastings, a local and knowledgeable tour guide, regional food, local produce and a small-group atmosphere all included in one carefully planned day.

  • 5You should visit the Barossa Valley

Great day out exploring a little taster of what the Barossa Valley has to offer! Loved the platter lunch, the wineries visited and the port/chocolate combo! Jordan, our driver, was a wealth of information during the drive and it was a great experience overall. Come home with some goodies from the day.

About Adelaide

Adelaide is a relaxed, green capital of South Australia, laid out as a grid inside a ring of parkland, with wine country and beaches close by.

Colonel William Light planned Adelaide in 1837 as a tidy grid of streets and five squares, then circled it with the parklands that still separate the centre from the suburbs. North Terrace lines up the state library, art gallery, museum and university, and the Torrens River runs through the middle, with the Adelaide Oval on its bank. Rundle Mall and the Central Market cover shopping and food.

Top-ranked sights in Adelaide: Mt. Lofty, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide Oval.
