About Exmouth
Exmouth is a small town on the North West Cape of Western Australia and the base for Ningaloo Reef, Cape Range National Park and whale shark swims.
Exmouth stands near the tip of the North West Cape, a dry limestone peninsula that pushes into the Indian Ocean in the far north-west of Western Australia. The town was founded in 1967 to serve a United States Navy communications station, and its wide streets, shops and marina now serve people who come for the reef.
