The town is lined with beautiful machiya-style buildings with white-walled storehouses and lattice doors, and visitors can enjoy strolling around in a quiet and tranquil atmosphere. In addition, tie-dyed curtains and signboards are displayed throughout the town, giving visitors a sense of a town where traditional crafts are still alive. Cafes and galleries are also scattered throughout the town, offering a peaceful blend of the traditional and the modern. The streets of Arimatsu, are recommended for those who want to take a leisurely stroll while experiencing history and culture.
