Explore unique planting architecture, crop production, and integrated animal systems that work together to build soil, cycle nutrients, and foster biodiversity. You’ll even get your hands (a little bit) dirty learning about planting, mulching and other activities, depending on the needs of the farm that morning. As you explore the food forest, you’ll taste fresh fruit and plants directly from the tree and learn about their history and special uses. About Kauai
Kauai, known as the Garden Isle, is Hawaii's oldest main island, a mountainous place of waterfalls, sea cliffs, a vast canyon and quiet beaches.
Kauai is the northernmost of Hawaii's main islands and the oldest, worn by millions of years of rain into deep valleys and jagged green ridges. Mount Waialeale at its centre is one of the wettest places on Earth. The towns are small: Lihue has the airport and harbour, Kapaa and Hanalei have shops and cafés, and wild chickens roam freely.
Top-ranked sights in Kauai: Na Pali Coast, Waimea Canyon, Mt. Waialeale.
