  1. Accompanied by one of our English-speaking and local expert tour guide, this unique tour combines sightseeing of Chapel Bridge and Lucerne’s old town with a visit of the most famous brewery of central Switzerland and beer tastings. It is the best way to spend a short time in one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Eichhof is a proud beer of a proud region. Brewed just outside Lucerne, in the heart of Switzerland. A beer that has been appreciated throughout the whole country for more than 180 years. Nowadays the company brews thirteen different varieties. One beer for every individual and every occasion. From the classic “Lager” to the strong “Barbara”, using only the best ingredients: first-class malting barley, fine flavoured hops, yeast from our own breeding and pure water. The tour includes a tasting of 6 different Eichhof beers and a pretzel or brewing sausages (pork) with a special bread.

  2. The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning the river Reuss diagonally in the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel, the bridge is unique in containing a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century, although many of them were destroyed along with a larger part of the centuries-old bridge in a 1993 fire. Subsequently restored, the Chapel Bridge is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe, as well as the world's oldest surviving truss bridge. It serves as the city's symbol and as one of Switzerland's main tourist attractions.

  3. The Lion Monument (German: Löwendenkmal), or the Lion of Lucerne, is a rock relief in Lucerne, Switzerland, designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and hewn in 1820–21 by Lukas Ahorn. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris. It is one of the most famous monuments in Switzerland, visited annually by about 1.4 million tourists. In 2006 it was placed under Swiss monument protection. Mark Twain praised the sculpture of a mortally wounded lion as "the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world."

About Lucerne

Lucerne is a compact Swiss lake city with a covered wooden bridge, a medieval wall and a ring of mountains, in the heart of Switzerland.

Lucerne sits at the northern end of Lake Lucerne, where the Reuss River flows out under two old wooden bridges. The Chapel Bridge, with its stone water tower and painted roof panels, dates from the fourteenth century, although it was partly rebuilt after a fire in 1993. The old town has painted house fronts, squares and the twin-spired Jesuit church, and the Museggmauer, a wall with nine towers, closes it to the north.

Top-ranked sights in Lucerne: Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee), Lucerne Old Town, Mt. Pilatus.
