Highlights
Enjoy the maritime charm on a two-hour harbor cruise through the Port of Hamburg and experience the lively hustle and bustle around the harbor during one of the daily tours. The Port of Hamburg is massive – the entire city of Cologne could easily fit inside it. It is the second-largest port in Europe after Rotterdam and impresses with its vastness. Hamburg has grown around the port, and many attractions as well as the city’s skyline are closely connected to it. Experience the contrast between modernity and history: from Elbe fishing villages and the fish market to modern container terminals and cruise ships. Discover the Reeperbahn, old sailing ships, and gigantic container vessels. On board a harbor-ready ship, you’ll get an up-close view of the gateway to the world. Sail through the historic Speicherstadt, explore the modern HafenCity quarters, and see the famous Elbphilharmonie from the water. A unique experience for every visitor!

3You probably should understand German to fully enjoy
As English speakers I found the app to be confusing trying to follow along. Also I didn’t have my AirPods so listening was difficult. The views were nice.
4Lovely couple of hours in Hamburg by boat
Boat was of good standard. Seating comfortable. A very enjoyable time. Guide was in German. I wasn't aware that English translation had to be downloaded.
2Unless you speak German,...
Unless you speak German, this is not for you. Firrsly, you need to download the English version on your phone but yiu need your own headphonesc which we didnt have. Commentary was over the microphone so you couldn't hear the English version on your phone anyway. Very disappointing tour again. 3rd in a row now sadly.
4Beautiful ride but no English commentary 😢
This tour was NOT presented in English in spite of representation on Viator site. The supppsed translation phone app does not work.
5Entertaining boat tour
You need to download the app in your language, and figure out how to work it before the boat tour. The narration on the app is different then what the host is saying.
1Very badly organised.
Don’t trust what you see on the internet. We were sent from Pier 1, to 4, to 9, back to 4. Then eventually, 45 minutes of chaos, got a boat that did not have English commentary as promised.

About Hamburg
Hamburg is Germany's second city and biggest port, a place of canals, red-brick warehouses, a harbourside concert hall and the Reeperbahn.
Hamburg lies on the Elbe, about a hundred kilometres from the North Sea, and trade made it rich as a Hanseatic city. The Speicherstadt, a district of red-brick warehouses on timber piles beside canals, is listed by UNESCO together with the neighbouring Kontorhaus quarter. Beyond it the Elbphilharmonie concert hall rises from an old warehouse, with a public viewing terrace over the harbour.
