Itinerary
Begin your adventure by cruising through some of southern Tasmania’s most beautiful coastal waters, passing rugged cliffs, tranquil bays, and secluded stretches of shoreline. Each journey is different, as the route is tailored to the day’s conditions. Keep an eye out for wildlife, as dolphins, seals, sea eagles, and black-faced cormorants often appear alongside the boat. When visibility is good, enjoy a distant view of the historic Iron Pot Lighthouse.
Enjoy the stunning coastal scenery of North West Bay and pass local salmon farming pens, where seals can often be seen resting nearby or trying to snatch fish from the pens.
Arrive at our fishing and diving grounds, home to one of the finest reef systems around Hobart. This area is also home to the closest giant kelp forest to Hobart, offering the chance to explore Tasmania’s unique underwater landscape, including cold-water corals. Divers may have the opportunity to collect Southern Rock Lobster, abalone and sea urchins, while anglers can target species such as blue-throat, cod, gurnard perch, swell sharks, gummy sharks, warehou and squid. As this area is a designated shark protection zone, any sharks caught must be released unharmed.
Subject to weather conditions, we will anchor in a calm and sheltered bay, usually around South Bruny Island, for a gourmet BBQ experience. Enjoy premium A5/M9 Wagyu beef, lamb cutlets, fresh salmon sashimi, Pacific oysters and dessert while surrounded by some of Tasmania’s most spectacular coastal scenery. You’ll also have the chance to fish for a variety of local species while taking in the stunning surroundings.
On the way back, our crew will choose calm waters where guests can have a turn at the helm and enjoy a hands-on boating experience, as well as take photos to capture the moment.
