About Bunbury
Bunbury is a port city in Western Australia's South West, known for wild dolphins, the Leschenault Estuary and wide surf and swimming beaches.
Bunbury lies about 156 km south of Perth, where the Leschenault Estuary meets the Indian Ocean on Koombana Bay. At Koombana Beach, wild bottlenose dolphins often swim close to shore, and a discovery centre there explains their lives. The city has a working port, a waterfront with cafés and a long run of ocean beaches, and the estuary is a calm place for paddling and birdwatching.
