Der Neue Leuchtturm steht als südlichster Leuchtturm Deutschlands in Lindau im Bodensee und ist damit auch der einzige Leuchtturm in Bayern.
Markantes Bauwerk aus dem 12. Jh. mit saisonalen Veranstaltungen, an denen klassische Märchen erzählt werden.
Das Münster Unserer Lieben Frau, auch St. Marien oder bis 2002 Stiftskirche genannt, ist die katholische Stadtpfarrkirche von Lindau im Bodensee.
Die evangelische Kirche St. Stephan auf der Lindauer Insel wurde im Jahr 1180 errichtet. Die Sehenswürdigkeit fasziniert durch schlichte Schönheit.
Die Peterskirche ist der älteste Sakralbau in der bayerisch-schwäbischen Stadt Lindau.
Der um 1380 errichtete Diebsturm wurde lange Zeit als Gefängnis genutzt - er markiert den höchsten Punkt der Lindauer Insel.

Der Pulverturm steht am westlichsten Punkt der Lindauer Insel - er wurde im Jahr 1508 im Rahmen der Stadtummauerung gebaut.
LINDENSCHANZE Im Mittelalter noch am nordwestlichsten Stadtrand gelegen, verbindet heute die Thierschbrücke über die Bahngleise die Hauptinsel mit der „Hinteren Insel“. Lokalhistoriker vermuten, dass bis 1527 an dieser Stelle ein Freudenhaus gestanden haben soll. Die Sternschanze befindet sich am westlichen Ende der Thierschbrücke (Bahngleise) mit einer kleinen Aussichtsplattform. Von dort hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf das Schachener Ufer mit seinen Villen und bis zur Halbinsel Wasserburg. Abends bietet die Sternschanze einen Logenplatz für spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge.

About Lindau
Lindau is a small island town on the Bavarian shore of Lake Constance, with a harbour guarded by a lion and a lighthouse, and views of the Alps.
Lindau's old town stands on a small island in the eastern end of Lake Constance, joined to the Bavarian shore by a road bridge and a railway causeway. A stone lion and a lighthouse stand at the harbour entrance, and the medieval Mang tower rises beside the water. Maximilianstrasse, the main street, runs between arcaded houses, past the Old Town Hall with its stepped gables and painted facade.
