  • 5Active and relaxed: great fun!

We enjoyed the ocean, beach and the river on an interesting and fun tour with guide Esteban. The active kayaking combined with a relaxed swim and lots of things to see (we saw amongst other things a sloth and lots of turtles!) makes for a very fun and diverse morning. :)

  • 5Great morning! Ask for Steve!

We had a wonderful morning with our very kind guide, Steve. Steve pointed out sloths, monkeys, turtles, basilisks, iguanas and birds! And more! We had delicious fresh coconut water at a break. We had a great time. Highly recommended! Ask for Steve; he was great!

  • 5Great tour!

We had an excellent time! The clear bottom kayaks didnt add much to the experience and took a little bit to get comfortable. We weren't able to do the whole tour because of the weather so maybe other parts of the tour on clearer days would have made the clear kayaks cool. We loved the tour though. Esteban dud a great job and showed us lots of insects lizards birds and plant life. We also saw a few sloths and lots of monkeys. The hike was a lot of fun where we saw a few more sloths and learned about some history of punta uva and some more about plant life. We went with a 10 month old and a 3 year old. Both fussed a little bit during the kayak tour but eventually fell asleep. They both loved the hiking part!

About Limón

Limón is Costa Rica's main Caribbean port, an Afro-Caribbean city on a humid coast and the gateway to Tortuguero's canals and the Cahuita reef.

Puerto Limón is Costa Rica's principal Caribbean port, a cargo harbour and provincial capital where the coast curves beneath green hills and rain clouds. Many of its people descend from Jamaican and other West Indian workers who came in the nineteenth century to build the railway to San José, and their English-influenced Creole, music and cooking shape the city. Parque Vargas, a palm-shaded park, runs along the seafront.
