  • 4Great Tour in Lubeck

We had a lovely tour of Lubeck. There isn't much to see in tge port of Kiel, so a daytrip to Lubeck was a great way to spend the day. Our guide Carolin spoke English perfectly and told us so many interesting and fun facts about Lubeck. We had a lot of free time to explore on our own too in addition to the guided tour.

  • 5Great overview of Lubeck....

Great overview of Lubeck. We did this from our cruise ship as the other Germany towns seemed to far and the cruise version of this was much more expensive.

  • 5A lot of walking, but...

A lot of walking, but gives you a great change to see the city and all its beauty. Our guide was a local and provided so much info and could tell she loves her home city. She made the tour a lot of fun.

  • 4Lubeck has great history

Despite a severe traffic problem that kept us waiting at the dock for over 30 minutes, we had a good day. Detlev was passionate about his town and eager to share his knowledge. Lubeck is a very walkable city, which made for an easy day. If you like learning about history and culture I’d recommend this tour.

About Kiel

Kiel is a Baltic port city at the end of the Kiel Canal, with a long fjord waterfront, a naval history and a huge sailing festival each June.

Kiel is the capital of Schleswig-Holstein, at the head of a long fjord on the Baltic Sea. It is the eastern end of the Kiel Canal, the busy waterway that links the Baltic with the North Sea, and large ferries and cruise ships sail from its harbour. The university dates from 1665, and the brick tower of the town hall, 106 metres high, is a landmark of the city centre.
