Experience the best of Kisarazu

Kisarazu sits on the Chiba side of Tokyo Bay, facing the industrial shores of Kanagawa across the water. Its port and factories line the bay, and much of the shore has been reclaimed from the sea for industry and port use. The town's streets run back toward the hills of the Boso Peninsula.

The Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line crosses the bay on a tunnel and bridge combination, with a service area on an artificial island in mid-bay. Tokyo is about an hour away by train. The Boso Peninsula, to the south, has sandy beaches, flower farms and fishing ports.

The bay supplies fish, shellfish and seaweed to the markets, and the Boso coast is known for its seafood. Summers are hot and humid and winters are cool and sunny. The coast is nicest for walking in the milder weather of May and October.
