What riders say
Across these tickets travellers rate Perth Explorer 4.2 out of 5 from 510 reviews.
The commentary was not always in sync with where the bus was and sometimes failed to mention to look to the left or right. The King's Park is absolutely wonderful. It's a shame some historic buildings are overshadowed by skyscrapers. As a Brit London Court was delightful as a street from Tudor times.
This is a great way to look around Perth if you have limited time. The information given via headphones is really good. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Just to spend a few hours in Perth, this is the right one.the meeting point of the tour where it starts,is very scenic with bell tower and lot of restaurants
Best time to ride
Spring and autumn give mild weather and, in spring, wildflowers in Kings Park. Summer afternoons can be very hot, so ride in the morning and keep the open top shaded.
Who it suits
- Families
- A children's commentary channel and a single easy loop make it workable, but an hourly bus means planning stops around the next departure.
- Couples
- The Kings Park stops give river and skyline views and make a natural place to hop off for a walk.
- Seniors
- A seated circuit with few transfers works well; Kings Park has paths of varying steepness, so pick the stops nearest the lookouts.
- First-time visitors
- A useful overview of how the city centre, the river and Kings Park fit together before deciding where to spend time.
Tips before you go

- Commentary comes through headsets and includes a children's channel in English.
Good to know
