Your guide will introduce you to the Willamette Valley AVA while camaraderie develops among your small group. You will be wafted away to wine country while we provide you with background on the history, terroir, and character of Willamette Valley wine. We'll select among the 500 Willamette Valley wineries, and 6 distilleries located the heart of wine country, and specific requests may be accommodated. About Portland
Portland is Oregon's largest city, a green Pacific Northwest city of bridges, rose gardens, food carts, craft beer and views of Mount Hood.
Portland sits where the Willamette River meets the Columbia, with the snow-covered cone of Mount Hood visible to the east on clear days. It is called the City of Roses, and the International Rose Test Garden in Washington Park, above the city, has thousands of rose bushes. Forest Park, one of the largest urban forests in the United States, covers the hills west of downtown, and the Japanese Garden nearby is a quiet retreat.
Top-ranked sights in Portland: Multnomah Falls, Latourell Falls, Columbia River Gorge.
