Highlights

Our Milbi vessel is also the most steady of the bay, our itinerary was designed so we cruise smooth waters only, slowly. Our boat has glass panels to enjoy the coral reefs from the comfort of the vessel. This is the only glass bottom boat in Hervey Bay and one of the largest of Australia. As we ensure you have a relaxing time on board, you will enjoy 3.5hrs hours of marine adventures. Snorkelling is offered from the beaches and you can hire the equipment for just $10 per set on check in. You are likely to see fish habitat amongst the coral reef, turtles, dolphins, sea bird colonies, and possibly a reef shark or dugong. Time is set aside to explore Round Island and enjoy a sumptuous morning or afternoon tea is offered.

  • 3Not what expected

I wouldn’t call this a turtle adventure as advertised or highlight the snorkelling side of the day because it gives it you the wrong impression. It was much more a day on a boat. The staff were great, the boat was great, we did have a great dolphin encounter and Pelican Island is beautiful. Just wasn’t what I expected but lovely anyway.

  • 5Unmissable trip!

Fantastic day out for a young family with incredibly helpful and knowledgable crew. Really kind and understanding when we were struggling to find the location for departure (incorrect details given on bookme website - not the tours fault!). Super memorable experience having time to snorkel on a tiny island and looking out for wildlife, highly recommend this trip! We were stoked that it was pram accessible too!

  • 5Awesome day out with a beautiful swim and amazing whale encounter. Brilliant staff.

Awesome day out with Jacqui and Glen on the lovely Milbi (name of the boat). We had an absolute ball, and a fantastic encounter with 4 humpback whales and a few dolphins swimming passed. One whale swam all around the boat and put on a beautiful show for us for about 20 minutes - so lucky! The animal sights and experiences are obviously the luck of the day, being nature. Then off for a swim at a beautiful secluded and protected cove by a little island with lots of birdlife. Finally the opportunity to be pulled slowly over some beautiful coral while snorkelling, or you can watch from the comfort of the boat through the glass bottom. Our hosts, Jacqui and Glen gave us wonderful and insightful info and had a great sense of humour. Loved some of the local cultural Aboriginal history. They provide lovely snacks and all in all this was a great day out. We will absolutely be out again with these guys.

  • 5Amazing family trip - highly recommended

My family and I had the best time on this trip, and Jacqui and Glenn were incredible tour guides from the moment we booked with them. My daughter uses a wheelchair and they went above and beyond making sure she was set up well so she could participate and be comfortable. Their knowledge of the area and wildlife was great, and the personal stories they shared about wildlife trips were incredible! Plus, we saw so much, including a humpback whale calf which was fantastic! I would recommend them in a heartbeat and definitely book on another of their trips when we are in the area next. Thank you so much Jacqui and Glenn!

  • 5Private Boat Charter Hervey Bay

A few nights in Hervey Bay and wanted to explore the local waters. After looking at various options we decided to treat ourselves to a private charter with Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours onboard the Milbi. Was a fantastic experience with the Milbi giving us access to places other boats couldn’t explore. Jacqui and Glenn were the perfect hosts, sharing their knowledge of the area making this a definite highlight of our stay. If we have the opportunity we will do this again! Paul & Jane

About Hervey Bay

Hervey Bay is a relaxed seaside town on Queensland's Fraser Coast, with calm water, a long pier, visiting humpback whales and ferries to Fraser Island.

Hervey Bay is a string of beach suburbs, Pialba, Scarness, Torquay and Urangan, facing a wide, sheltered bay that Fraser Island shields from the open Pacific. A paved esplanade runs for kilometres along the shore, with parks, cafés and a cycle path, and at Urangan the long timber pier reaches far out over the shallows, an old cargo wharf now used by anglers and walkers.
