1Overpriced, Underwhelming, and Completely Lacking Substance
This tour is nothing more than a money‑grab and a full tourist trap. For the price they charge, you get almost no history, no depth, and barely any meaningful explanation of Palenque. I genuinely learned more about how “tipping is optional” than I did about the actual culture or community. While the guide and dancers were talented, the itinerary itself is empty. The entire experience boils down to a short dance performance, taking photos with the local women, and constant tipping is optional. I left wondering what people are actually paying for. Charging these prices for an experience with zero substance is shameful. Save your money and skip this completely.
5Palenque experience
It was great learning about the Palenque people and their culture. The people were kind, and friendly. Our lunch was filling and tasty. Our tour guide was Roméo and he was awesome. He kept us laughing the whole time.

5Must see cultural experience
Beautiful little town with gorgeous murals and kind people. I loved experiencing the historic cultural space Palenque has to offer. Very kind tour guide (Romeo) that made the trip extra entertaining.

About Cartagena
Cartagena, on Colombia's Caribbean coast, is a walled colonial port of flower-draped balconies, colourful plazas and warm, music-filled evenings.
The walled old city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a maze of cobbled streets and squares lined with pastel houses, churches and bougainvillea. The Clock Tower gate leads into Plaza de los Coches, and the cathedral, the Church of San Pedro Claver and the Palace of the Inquisition are all within a few blocks. Walking the thick ramparts at sunset is a local ritual.
Top-ranked sights in Cartagena: Rosario Islands (Islas del Rosario), Old Town Cartagena, Santo Domingo Church (Iglesia de Santo Domingo).
