  • 5Fantastic experience—A+++++

    We visited Seward in late July and had the trip of a lifetime! We were fortunate enough to have Rob from Adventure 60 North as our guide for two incredible adventures. Our first tour was a kayak trip on Resurrection Bay. Rob had all of our gear prepared and ready to go, and even though it was rainy, the provided rain gear kept us warm and dry. We stopped for lunch and took a short hike to a beautiful waterfall. One of the women on our tour had some mobility challenges, and I was especially impressed watching Rob hike backward while holding her hands and making sure she felt safe and supported. Throughout the trip, he pointed out landmarks and wildlife and shared so much interesting information. He was knowledgeable, funny, patient, and incredibly attentive. Later that day, Rob guided us on a hike of Exit Glacier. His knowledge of the glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park was amazing. Along the way, we learned about the plant life, geology, and geography of this breathtaking landscape. I feel incredibly lucky that we had Rob as our guide. There is no doubt that we would have missed so much if we had explored these places on our own. He made both experiences unforgettable! Thank you, Adventure 60 North, and especially Rob, for helping make our Alaska adventure so special! ❤️

    Deklan was an amazing guide! He was so knowledgeable on the beautiful landscape, wildlife, and history and always had an engaging story to tell. It was a great experience for the price and length of tour. It was a nice small group which created a personalized atmosphere. Highly recommend this experience for adults or families with older children.

  • 5Family Kayak Tour

    This was a fun and easy 2 hours on the water. Our group of 5 included 8 and 10 year old grandchildren. Our guide, Joe, worked well with the kids. He did an excellent job of making this a fun and safe outing. He also did a great job spotting sea otters and other wildlife, and gave us a lot of good information about the area.

  • 5When Exercise is Fun!

    From start to finish, our entire day spent kayaking Resurrection Bay closed out our Alaska trip in spectacular fashion! Mother Nature delivered an amazing day with glassy water below us and blue skies and sunshine overhead. Bazooka Joe felt more like our friend than our guide when all was said and done! All staff members invited conversation and delivered impeccable customer service. It was a great day!

  • 5Great first time kayaking!

    Dawson was way cool! We had some windy weather at the sea but thankfully he was able to get us out on Bear Lake for more enjoyable kayaking. Very knowledgeable of the area, extremely adventurous, and super friendly. They provided appropriate water boots, life vests, and pants. We were on the water for about two hours and were able to get out and explore the land a little bit too. Tandem kayaks were easy to maneuver for beginners. Would definitely do again!

  • 5Wildlife, Wonder, and Kelly — The Perfect Seward Kayaking Day

    An unforgettable kayaking adventure in Seward, Alaska! My daughter Natalie and I spent the day on the water with our guide Kelly, and she made the entire trip. Her passion for Alaska and this incredible region was obvious from the start, and her knowledge of the local wildlife added so much depth to the experience. What impressed us most was how attuned she was to our group's abilities — she made sure everyone felt safe and confident on the water while keeping the day fun, relaxed, and genuinely memorable. Combine that with Seward's stunning scenery and the wildlife we spotted along the way, and it's easy to see why this is a must-do experience. If you're visiting Seward, don't miss this kayaking trip — and be sure to ask for Kelly as your guide. Highly recommend!

About Seward

Seward is a small harbour town at the head of Resurrection Bay in Alaska, the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park with its glaciers and sea life.

Seward sits at the head of Resurrection Bay on the Alaskan Kenai Peninsula, backed by steep mountains. It was founded in 1903 as the starting point of a railroad into Alaska's interior and named for William Seward, the US Secretary of State who arranged the purchase of Alaska. The harbour is a base for fishing boats and sightseeing cruises, and a trail runs along the waterfront. The Seward Highway to Anchorage winds through mountains and beside Turnagain Arm.
