Highlights
Iai-do is a very traditional martial art and has existed long before the days of the samurai in Japan. He is the owner of "Muso Jikiden Eishinryu Iai Heiho" and is entrusted by the Soke with his dojo. His performance and that of his students seem so smooth and easy, but it is profound and very difficult to execute. Please experience a part of Japanese culture by experiencing the secrets behind it and for what purpose it has been handed down for more than 1,000 years. He is looking forward to sharing the fruits of his more than 40 years of training. Not only for Japanese but also for foreign audiences.

About Takayama
Takayama, in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture, is a well-kept Edo-period town of dark wooden merchant houses, sake breweries and a morning market.
Takayama lies in the Hida region of the Japanese Alps, in a high basin ringed by mountains. Its old town, Sanmachi Suji, keeps three streets of dark timber merchant houses from the Edo period, with latticed fronts and sake breweries marked by cedar-ball signs hanging from the eaves. Takayama Jinya, the former magistrate's office, is one of the last of its kind in Japan.
Top-ranked sights in Takayama: Takayama Morning Markets (Asaichi), Sannomachi Street (Sanmachi Suji), Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine & Festival Floats Exhibition Hall.
