Itinerary

  1. You will meet your private guide and avoid the lengthy queues at the entrance of the Vatican Museums with your pre-booked tickets. You can store any belongings you may have in the Vatican cloakroom before the tour commences. During your trip around the Vatican, your children will participate in games and win prizes whilst learning more about the Vatican’s collections. The first items you will see on the tour are the array of ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, as well as the sarcophagi of Empress Helena and Constantina, the mother and daughter of Constantine the Great. This is followed by a walk through the Candelabra Gallery, the Tapestries Gallery, the Sobieski Hall, and the lavishly decorated Raphael Rooms.

    2 hAdmission included

  2. You will then arrive at the Sistine Chapel, one of Italy’s most popular attractions and still used today for the papal elections. The chapel is the location of Michelangelo's 'The Last Judgment' and other frescoes depicting Biblical stories, such as the creation of Adam.

About Rome

Rome layers nearly three thousand years of history into one walkable city, from the Colosseum and Forum to Baroque piazzas and Vatican art.

Ancient Rome is still in plain sight. The Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill sit together at the city's heart, the Pantheon still stands with its open oculus, and fragments of temples and aqueducts turn up between apartment blocks. Across the Tiber, Vatican City holds St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling.

Top-ranked sights in Rome: Colosseum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel.
