After that is your first viewpoint: Amphitheater Point. From here, you'll have sweeping views of the valleys far below.
An optional detour can take you to Crystal Cave, a marble karst cave beloved by intrepid explorers.
Then there's the Giant Forest Museum, home to one of the park's largest trees and a quick and easy trail which shows off some seriously impressive flora.
Next up is the Generals Highway Lookout, a popular spot boasting panoramic views.
Just beyond Hanging Rock Trail, you'll come to Moro Rock, a must-see spot. Here, you can climb stairs carved into the rock to reach an overlook like no other.
Up next are a group of trails which can take you to the historic abodes of Squatter's Cabin and Tharp's Log, long abandoned but still full of cool history.
Following the trail will lead you to General Sherman, the world's largest tree. At 275 feet tall and over 36 feet in diameter, this is a sight you won't soon forget!
Continuing on, you'll pass the trailhead leading to Big Baldy, a mountain peak overlooking the beautiful Redwood Canyon.

About Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park
Sequoia and Kings Canyon are two adjoining national parks in California's southern Sierra Nevada, home to giant sequoia groves and deep granite canyons.
The two parks are managed together on the western slope of the southern Sierra Nevada, rising from foothills of oak and chaparral to granite peaks of more than 4,000 metres. In the Giant Forest, the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree on earth by volume, stands among many other giant sequoias, which grow only on the western slopes of the Sierra and can live for more than two thousand years. Moro Rock, a granite dome climbed by a stairway cut into its side, gives views across the Great Western Divide.
