Itinerary

  1. Positano, the most picturesque town of the Amalfi Coast resembles a waterfall cascading down to the sea. Visitors descend narrow pathways, perusing artisan workshops offering ceramics, fabled lemon products, and the distinct local style of dress.

    1 h

  2. The gem of Amalfi is the oldest of Italy’s maritime republics. Whitewashed homes dotting the hillside are illuminated by the abundant sunshine that bathes the city. The basilica’s cupola is a reference to the Sicilian -Arabic influence that once dominated the area. For centuries it has been a popular destination due to its natural beauty and ideal climate.

    1 h

  3. Ravello and its noble villas keep alive the grandeur of a bygone era. Perched high on a hillside plateau, Ravello has stunning views of the Amalfi coastline, overlooking Minori, Maiori, and beyond. Immortalized in the films of Roberto Rossellini, the city of Ravello seduces its visitors with its contrast of opulent colours and displays of luxury and the absolute tranquillity that pervades it.

About Salerno

Salerno is a port city at the eastern end of the Amalfi Coast, with a Norman cathedral, a palm-lined seafront and a castle on the hill above.

Salerno curves around a gulf with a long palm-lined waterfront, the Lungomare, and a medieval centre of narrow lanes behind it. The cathedral, begun in the eleventh century under the Norman duke Robert Guiscard, has an arcaded atrium and a tall bell tower, and the city was home to the Schola Medica Salernitana, one of the earliest medical schools in Europe. Above, Arechi Castle looks out over the bay.
