Highly recommend pre book as fully booked out day we went . 2 hr trip from Perth .Arrive early for better seating options.
5Excellent day out
An early start from the Barrack Street Jetty for the all-day excursion. Fairly full boat, with additional pickups at Freemantle. Outstanding downriver commentary. Clean & comfortable cabin with good viewing windows.

For our 2nd time, it was twice the fun, great adventure & even better experienced seeing, observing again & again with the super friendly, cutest & adorable QUOKKAS.
4If fit, do a trail, no need for bikes or buses!
Staying in Perth near Elizabeth Quay. Trip from there to Rottnest is 1.5 hours but if you take train to Freemantle, and go from there, it's about the same time. BUT you then miss all the buildings along the river. Punctual, not that cheap but seats comfortable and you can buy drinks and snacks. We did our own thing, walking along a trail.

3Disappointing "Selective" Service – Professionalism Missing at Rottnest Express
I am deeply disappointed by the unprofessional and biased service from a male crew member during my trip with Rottnest Express. 我对乘坐 Rottnest Express 期间一名男性船员表现出的非专业且有偏见的服务深感失望。 1. During Boarding (上船时): He was enthusiastically offering maps to passengers ahead of me. However, when it was my turn, he became stone-faced and silent. Even when I proactively asked for a map and said "thank you," he completely ignored me. 他热情地为我前面的乘客提供地图，但轮到我时却冷脸沉默。即便我主动索要地图并致谢，他仍对我视而不见，不发一言。 2. During Disembarking (下船时): While he responded to other passengers' thanks, he stayed silent and dismissive when my companion and I thanked him, despite clearly hearing us. 下船时，他会回应其他人的致谢，但当我和同伴向他道谢时，他明明听到了却刻意保持沉默，态度傲慢。 Conclusion (总结): As an Asian traveler, the stark contrast in his demeanor felt deliberate and targeted. We remained polite throughout, but were met with "selective silence." This kind of biased attitude is unacceptable. 作为亚裔游客，他前后态度的剧烈反差让我感到是刻意针对。我们始终保持礼貌，却遭遇了这种“选择性沉默”。这种偏见待遇令人无法接受。
