A fantastic way to see two wonderful cities in a single day. This full-day private tour (no more than 8 people) will have an English-speaking driver pick you up at the port (please choose the right option between Livorno and La Spezia) and drive you to Florence where you will have a 3hrs guided tour of Florence including the highlights and Michelangelo's David. About Livorno
Livorno is a working port on the Tuscan coast, with canals, a sea fortress, a chequered seafront terrace and the cacciucco fish stew.
Livorno became a major port when the Medici rulers of Florence built it up in the late sixteenth century, and they invited merchants of every faith and country, so the city mixes Greek, Jewish, Dutch and English heritage. The Fortezza Vecchia guards the old harbour, and the Monument of the Four Moors stands near the port. The Venezia Nuova quarter has canals crossed by small bridges.
