1. Leaving Florence early in the morning, the journey toward Manarola follows western Tuscany across the Arno valley and past Pistoia and Lucca. Continuing toward the coast near Viareggio, the landscape opens to glimpses of the Tyrrhenian Sea before reaching the marble district of Carrara, where the white Apuan Alps are visible in the distance. Approaching La Spezia, the scenery shifts from plains to rugged hills, signaling the entrance into the dramatic coastline of the Cinque Terre.

2. Upon arrival in Manarola, your driver tour escort will accompany you on a orientation walk down to the marina, passing narrow lanes lined with colorful houses stacked along the cliffside. At the small harbor, you’ll enjoy one of the most iconic panoramic views of the Cinque Terre coastline. After this introduction, you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace, take photos, or relax.

3. Your driver will take care of buying your tickets for a ferry which connects Manarola to Vernazza. You will admire the picturesque landscape of these cliffs descending towards the sea. Free time for lunch, the best restaurants are in Vernazza town. Some suggestions will be given by your driver, too.

4. Meet your driver at the Vernazza meeting point, to be transferred to Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the Cinque Terre villages. Your host will accompany you on a short walk from the modern Fegina beach area toward the historic old town. This introduction highlights the contrast between the seaside promenade and the narrow Medieval lanes of the borgo. Afterward, enjoy ample free time to explore independently—relax on the sandy beach (seasonal), browse local shops, savor Ligurian specialties such as fresh seafood and focaccia, or enjoy a glass of local wine overlooking the sea.

5. Be ready by 3:30 PM, for your transfer back to Florence town center. Admire the marine landscape for the last time, before you get onboard your vehicle, with your private driver.
