1. Leaving Florence early in the morning, the journey toward Manarola follows western Tuscany across the Arno valley and past Pistoia and Lucca. Continuing toward the coast near Viareggio, the landscape opens to glimpses of the Tyrrhenian Sea before reaching the marble district of Carrara, where the white Apuan Alps are visible in the distance. Approaching La Spezia, the scenery shifts from plains to rugged hills, signaling the entrance into the dramatic coastline of the Cinque Terre.

4. Meet your driver at the Vernazza meeting point, to be transferred to Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the Cinque Terre villages.
