5Pompeii
A lot of walking, very slippery if it’s raining our guide Roxanne was very informative and friendly as well. Overall an amazing trip. I would suggest staying the full day and seeing as much as you can after the tour
4Good guide
Good guide with a lot of knowledge. Pompeii is a little bit sparse with plaques and information about the buildings, I'd probably recommend an audio guide and assign the whole day to it - it is massive. What I enjoyed most was walking without direction, stumbling across beautiful paintings and ruins off the beaten path.
5Amazing time in Pompeii
Pompeii was amazing! Julia, was the best tour guide we’ve ever had the pleasure of having. This was my husband’s and my second time and it was still wonderful. The new couple couldn’t believe they were witnessing such history.
5Pompeii
The tour was fantastic! I highly recommend it and if possible having Roxanne as the guide. Her unbelievable knowledge of the history of the ruins and her wonderful personality made it all the more memorable!

About Pompeii
Pompeii is a Roman town near Naples frozen in ash when Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD 79, with streets, villas and frescoes preserved beneath the volcano.
Pompeii was a thriving Roman town when Vesuvius buried it under ash and pumice in AD 79. Excavation, begun in the eighteenth century, has uncovered paved streets with stepping stones, shops, bakeries, bathhouses and the forum. The amphitheatre, among the oldest Roman ones to survive, and the grand House of the Faun show the range of life, and plaster casts of the dead record the final moments of some residents.
