About Miyakojima
Miyakojima is a flat coral island in Okinawa Prefecture, ringed by white-sand beaches and clear blue water, and linked to its neighbours by long bridges.
Miyakojima is the main island of the Miyako group, a low, flat island of sugar-cane fields and coral limestone in the far south-west of Japan, about 290 kilometres from Okinawa's main island. Its water is known for its clarity, and the beaches draw visitors from across Japan.
