It’s a unique experience where we walk through the forest after dark, guided by the sounds and mystery of the night. We’ll be on the lookout for nocturnal animals in their natural environment—though sightings are never guaranteed, and that’s part of the magic. Every night is different, shaped by nature’s rhythm. Whether we see wildlife or simply enjoy the stillness, it’s a chance to reconnect with the forest in a peaceful, unforgettable way.

About Monteverde

Monteverde is a mountain community in Costa Rica's cloud forest, known for misty reserves, hanging bridges, birdlife and coffee farms.

Monteverde is a scattering of farms and small villages on the Tilarán Mountains, around 1,400 metres up, where moist winds from the Caribbean wrap the ridge in cloud. Quaker families from the United States settled here in the 1950s and began dairy farming, and they helped protect the forest above. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve and the neighbouring Santa Elena Reserve preserve mossy trees, ferns, orchids and hanging vines.
