  • 5The best view of the cloud forest

We were the only 2 on our tour (low season) but still had two guides clicking us on and off and they were brilliant (Manuel and Jaffred, although I’ve spelt his name incorrectly). We were above the trees for many of the lines and as a storm had just passed the clouds were drifting around the tree tops providing a magical experience! I was a little nervous at the beginning but the whole experience was very safe and extremely well done!

  • 5Wonderful adventure!

Great advanture. Not scary at all. Feeling like a bird looking from above over the tree tops of all the forest. Professional staff that helped us and operated the tour, always smiling and with good vibes. Felt really safe and secure. The girls did the tarzan's jump (this was my personal limit..). Very recommended!!

  • 1Don’t waste your money

What a complete and total waste of money. The vistas were fine. We saw absolutely no animals. It was impossible to see any birds because of the way it was designed. And every few minutes we heard people screaming by on the adventure part of the park. Totally ruined any severance of beauty and calm we could’ve experienced. For that we paid over $50 a person.

  • 5Awesome zipline experience, a must do!!

I highly recommend this park, company, and doing the tarzan and superman experiences. I felt very safe. Staff are professional and friendly, lots of them! Equipment is in good condition. My husband and I are both 66 and we had no trouble walking to the first zip and up stairs on the few you need to climb to get to them. I think there were 16 total lines yet it went fast, they are very efficient. Had a blast and will do it again if we get back to Costa Rica!

  • 5Very well organised, extremely enjoyable - a great and unforgettable experience!

I’m not a great fan of heights and generally don’t feel safe when facing a challenge like this. However, did this with the kids and I have to say it was just fantastic. So well marshalled, and a great balance of fun and common sense from the instructors/guides. The scale of the 1km and 800m zips was eye-opening. Would thoroughly recommend to others!

About Monteverde

Monteverde is a mountain community in Costa Rica's cloud forest, known for misty reserves, hanging bridges, birdlife and coffee farms.

Monteverde is a scattering of farms and small villages on the Tilarán Mountains, around 1,400 metres up, where moist winds from the Caribbean wrap the ridge in cloud. Quaker families from the United States settled here in the 1950s and began dairy farming, and they helped protect the forest above. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve and the neighbouring Santa Elena Reserve preserve mossy trees, ferns, orchids and hanging vines.

Top-ranked sights in Monteverde: Curi-Cancha Reserve, Selvatura Park, Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve (Reserva Bosque Nuboso Santa Elena).
