First, after we will pick you up from your hotel, we will head to Botero Square. The square is famous for its multiple abstract bronze sculptures, that were created by the well known Colombian artist Fernando Botero. On this square, you will find more than 23 sculptures in the form of human beings, bodyparts, and giant animals.
located in the center of Medellin, which houses collections of international relevance. It was the first founded in the department of Antioquia and the second in Colombia.
Our next stop will be the Comuna 13. Comuna 13 is a very important place in Medellín and has suffered through a terrible history. Only years ago, Comuna 13 used to belong to the most dangerous places in the world and nobody thought of even visiting this area. But this area developed and transformed a lot which makes it today to one of Medellín’s main tourist attractions. In Comuna 13 we will have a local guide that will explain the dramatic history and the big transformation and will talk about his own experience growing up in such a dangerous place.
