Itinerary

  1. We meet up and drop off at this amazing wetland preserve. Arrive early to walk around and experience this amazing nature preserve.

    20 min

  2. Stop for a quick photoshoot at the Malibu Pier. This is a world famous surfing location in "Downtown Malibu".

    20 min

  3. Ascend way up into the Malibu wine country for a unique wine and food tasting experience, high up in the Santa Monica Mountains. Cornell Wine Co. and The Old Place are located On Mulholland Hwy, in a rustic "old west" style setting. Drink wine, eat food, feed some peacocks, or take a nature walk. We have 45 minutes.

    45 min

  4. Experience the crown jewel of Malibu! The northern tip of the Santa Monica Bay is rich in nature and heritage, but is difficult to reach for the average traveler. We will make a stop here for you to take a walk through the natural preserve over looking the beach. It is very beautiful and serene. This location provides amazing views views of Catalina Island, as you'll visit the seals inhabiting the beach down below, or an occasional dolphin swimming by. It's a great place for a photo shoot.

    20 min

  5. This private beach resort is the only one of it's kind along the entire California Coast! You can legally bring your own alcohol and drink right on the beach! Walk on the pier, or explore the tidepools. This resort has a long history dating back to the 1940's when this land was purchased by a small family, who launched boats for local fishermen. Nestled just south of Point Dume, this small cove contains it's own fishing pier, an awesome seafood restaurant, and private cabanas. It's a very festive location with amazing scenery.

    30 min

  6. Malibu Country Mart consists of 3 large shopping centers, and a nature preserve. You'll have a choice of many top tier restaurats and bars. You can go shopping, wine tasting, or explore the Malibu Lagoon. This is where the tour ends, and you can spend the rest of your day at this convenient location.

Not a good experience. This tour was about a 3 out of 5 until the end, and then sh*t hit the fan. Tour started by him apologizing for the van being dirty. Ok, thanks for apologizing but why is the van dirty? Our first two stops were at the pier for about 15 minutes and at a winery for about 40 minutes which were fine. Except at the winery, we wanted to get into the van to grab some snacks we had brought and we couldn’t find the guide anywhere. Eventually found him napping on a bench. We then went to a beach for about 15 minutes, Dume point for 15 minutes, and lastly went to Paradise Cove. This is where the tour took a left turn. The guide offered unlimited wine, but brought 2 bottles, which between 11 people, doesn’t last. We expressed disappointment with this, and he did go to the store to get more wine. We also expressed that we were bummed out that there wasn’t enough time to really eat on the tour. After 4 hours in the sun, drinking, we were hoping to get something to eat, but our guide discouraged us from getting food because “the food takes too long”. When we brought this up to him, he got pretty defensive, and when trying to explain that we just were hoping for somewhere to eat, he started talking over us and getting more defensive. He then accused us of wanting to fight? Like, he actually thought we wanted to physically fight him. Nobody in our party ever got physical or approached him in any sort of intimidating way. He then told one person in our party that he couldn’t get back on the van (because he was irritated that this person was voicing his opinion about the food), and he told the rest of us that we can either get back in the van or not. We told him his attitude was unprofessional and we’d rather not get back in the van, and he drove off and left us there. We had to uber back to our cars. It was the wildest, most unprofessional thing I’ve ever experienced. Pick another tour.

  • 1Horrible experience!

Our experience with this tour was absolutely horrible and deceiving. From the moment Gavin picked us up, he apologized for the dirty van and started ranting about selling the business because he was fed up with it. This was not the start we wanted for my sister's birthday celebration. Gavin took us to one winery, which was fine, and then to a couple of nice viewing points. However, he told us that the last stop, "Paradise Cove," only allowed drinks and not food. At no point during the tour did he make time for us to eat. When we provided feedback about the tour, he became extremely defensive and claimed that someone in our party was trying to fight him, even though no one got physical. Gavin reacted poorly to our feedback, which was very disappointing—especially for a business owner who should be open to input from paying customers. His response became so erratic that we felt uncomfortable getting back in the van with him, and he ultimately left us stranded mid-tour. We had to take an Uber back to our cars. I 100% do not recommend this tour!

About Malibu

Malibu is a long strip of Pacific beaches, surf breaks and canyons west of Los Angeles, with the Santa Monica Mountains rising right behind the coast.

Malibu stretches for roughly 34 kilometres along the Pacific Coast Highway, with the steep Santa Monica Mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. Surfrider Beach, beside the Malibu Pier, was the first place in the world to be named a World Surfing Reserve, and the Adamson House, a Spanish Colonial home decorated with local tiles, stands by Malibu Lagoon, where shorebirds gather.
